No load shedding expected for today says EskomSA

Eskom says it’s not expecting to implement load shedding today, but with the vulnerable generators it’s impossible to make any promises.

Yesterday, the utility said there would not be any rolling blackouts but had to revise its plans during the afternoon implementing stage one power cuts.

The power giant has urged customers to switch off all non-essential appliances to keep the electricity demand as low as possible.

Eskom's Khulu Phasiwe says there is no planned load shedding for this week.

“We will have a situation likely to what we had last week where we had a good week in a sense that we only had to load shed during the end of the week. Our projection is not to have load shedding at all.”
Eskom has classified today's risk for load shedding as low to medium
